Villages in Sagaig Division need help

 In some townships in Sagaing Division, from October last year to the end of February this year, some villages were completely burnt down, and the lives of the affected farmers have not yet been restored, according to local farmers.

"After the gunfire, the fire started. It was not caused by a fire. It was set on fire, there was no one to help, no one to put out the fire. We were crying from a distance," said a farmer from Zee Phyu Kone village in Pearl Township, who was affected by the fire last February.

The Monywa-based political analysis community is concerned about the burning of such villages

"As a result of the unrest, the lives of farmers have been ruined. Whoever thinks that burning down villages and finding solutions to the problem is not the right way. Real estate is a non-existent thing.

Pearl Township is not the only town to be affected by the fire. Khin Oo Ma ရွှေ ဘို၊ That's it. ရေ⁇ း၊ Stop Dam မင်း ကင်း၊ Children က နီ၊ Similar incidents were reported in some villages in townships such as Yinmarpin.

"Rainfed rice, sunflower, sesame and pulses were burned to the ground. When the gunfire started, the whole family had to flee for their lives. They got nothing but belts. All those who could not escape died in the fire. Four people died in the fire," said a local firefighter.

 There are more than 30 villages in Sagaing Division that were burnt down. The number of farmers affected by the fire is in the thousands, according to records from relief groups helping those affected villages.
